Yet another terrorist attack in the Kenyan North Eastern town of Mandera, days to Obama's 'big' visit

Fourteen people were shot dead in cold blood last night in yet another Al Shabaab attack in Mandera.
The 14 who include 11 stonemasons and a mother died in a night of fierce shooting and explosions.
The heavily armed men are reported to have crossed from Somalia at Barwaqo settlement and laid ambushed at around midnight Monday night.
“THEY ATTACKED THE TWO HOUSES THE QUARY WORKERS WERE RESIDING,  KILLED 13 AND ONE MOTHER AND LATER PLACED IED (IMPROVISED EXPLOSIVE DEVICES) PRESUMABLY FOR THE SOLDIERS WHO WOULD COME TO THE SCENE”, ALEX OLE NKOYO, A SURVIVOR SAID THIS MORNING.
Their employer had rented the house for them near an animal market in Mandera after a court blocked them from living near the quary.
Five  other people have also been injured in the shoot out and are now nursing gun shot wounds at Mandera General Hospital.
This comes weeks after nine other people were killed in inter clan war in Mandera County. The area where the killings took place is only metres away from the KDF military camp.
One Quary worker registred his frustrations over security lapses in the region.
“WE ARE NOT SAFE AT QUARY SITE, NOT SAFE AT OUR PLACE OF RESIDENTS,  WHERE IS SAFETY. WHERE IS SECURITY? OUR GOVERNMENT IS VERY DOING LITTLE TO PROTECT US FOR INSURGENTS,” JOHN OMOLO SAID.
Mandera township MCA Feisal Abdinoor who was at the scene through out the night said the bloodshed of innocent Kenyans has to stop.
Region security co-ordinator Mohamed Salah who was in the region last month stressed the need for the public to share information with the police.
Insurgents pass the porous Somali – Kenya border, execute their cold-blooded killings sprees and dash back to Somalia.
